Hello to whoever takes the time to read the ‘About’ section - I’m Tash!

I would like start by saying 'Welcome' and 'Thank You' for visiting my website, it’s full of yummy desserts that are hand-crafted and baked by myself, in my council registered kitchen in the burbs' of south-east Melbourne.

I have always had a creative flair within me that was natured by my mum at a very young age (She however, is not so great in the kitchen - Sorry Mum!). When I reflect on my baking journey and how I got to running my own successful baking business, my memories always return to when I was 12 years old and lived in Germany with my beautiful grandparents, Oma and Opa. They live in a small village surrounded by Forrest called ‘Ramsbeck’, I have so many wonderful memories there. It is in their kitchen where my love for baking was born (so was my Mum, yes that’s right, she was literally born in the same kitchen!).

Religiously, at the same time every day we would have ‘Kaffee und Kuchen’ (coffee and cake), and that cake was always self-made without exception. My grandparents would spend countless hours baking beautiful cakes (like ‘KirschBoden’ and ‘Frankfurter Kranz’), delicious biscuits and other yummy desserts. My Oma and Opa showed me the joy of making and baking something yourself, and then enjoying it together with family and friends.

This is the reason why I love creating custom desserts, cookies and cupcakes: for others to enjoy with their family and friends like I did every afternoon in Germany. Suga Mumma has been lucky enough to cater for all kinds of celebrations - birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, engagements, weddings - you name it.

These are such special times for people and I pride myself in being able to add that ‘Wow- Factor’ to their occasion or event by creating custom pieces of edible artwork. There is something magical about working with someone who has a vision and turning it into reality.

I hope I can bring a bit of that magic into your life through my desserts!
